What I'm Loving Wednesday

I thought I would participate this week so here we go!

I'm Loving...

Lucky Charms!! Oh yes, I eat at least one heaping bowl of these a day, and I really love when I get a lucky box that has a much higher marshmallow to cereal ratio

I'm Loving....

This car, the Buick Enclave, I'm not sure why I have seen them all over the place lately and just LOVE the way they look...unfortunately there will be no new cars in my near future

And of course I'm LOVING...

This precious little peanut, even if he is already showing us his stubborn and strong willed personality!!

35 weeks 5 days

How far along? 35 weeks 5 days

Baby's size? honey dew melon

Weight Gain? 20 lbs so far

Maternity clothes? I actually found a pair of maternity capri pants at target today, They fit so good and I know with the weather already warming up already I will wear them a lot even though I only have 3 weeks left, plus after I have the baby I will be able to wear them for a while then too

Stretch marks? not a single one

Belly button in or out? definitely out

Sleep? sleep is good but I usually wake up with sore hips and back

Foods I am loving? fresh fruit, candy...ive had a major sweet tooth lately

Foods I am hating? nothing really

Best moment this week? slowly getting everything in order for this baby to come

Movement? This baby is certainly a mover! However he needs to move his butt upside down so I don't need a c-section, He is already showing his stubbornness, I think I'm in for some fun in the future!!

Symptoms? definitely get tired more easily and my lower back and hips get sore by the end of the day.  Another weird thing is this numb feeling right under my rib cage its really annoying but I have friends who have mentioned this as well and I googled it and it has something to do with the nerves getting stretched or something

Gender? a lil boy, Landon Matthew

What I miss? I could use a ice cold beer or glass of wine from time to time, and some sushi!!!

What I'm looking forward to? getting our bedding in and finishing up the nursery, I hope to get stuff on the walls this week, and my sweet work peeps are throwing me a shower on thursday, Im so excited!! Oh yeah and our  maternity pics in the morning!!

Weekly Wisdom: God is in control of this whole situation, not me, and I need to have faith that He knows whats best and its all in His hands.

Milestone: 3 weeks!!

Emotions: I get some anxiety sometimes thinking about the size of the little baby human inside of me, and the fact that it needs to come out at some point.  As well as the fact that once he is here although I know how to take care of a baby already the fact that its my own and I don't have to return him after 12 hours kind of freaks me out sometimes, he is MINE ...ALL THE TIME its exciting and scary at the same time!!

34w6d

So technically I am 35 weeks today but I took my 34 week picture yesterday and had an appointment and was planning on doing my post yesterday and it just didn't happen so I am doing it today, and then I will do my 35 week post later in the week.

How far along? when I took the picture yesterday 34w 6d

Baby's size? measured about 5lbs 4oz at our appointment yest, 30th percentile

Weight Gain? 19lbs so far

Maternity clothes? i have some long sleeve maternity tops for work as I know only have 2 scrub tops that fit and I cant justify buying new scrub tops to wear for 4 weeks or so and actually by the time i order them and they get here i may only have about  2.5-3 weeks of wearing them...not worth it to me, but other than that no, my jeans  I am wearing are still my last non maternity pair that fit with a bella band on the waist

Stretch marks? not a single one

Belly button in or out? definitely out, sometimes I want to buy some pasties and just put one on my belly button haha

Sleep? so good lately, I have been running on 100mph these days so by the time I go to bed I am exhausted

Foods I am loving? fresh fruit, donuts

Foods I am hating? nothing really

Best moment this week? getting the nursery painted and the baby furniture in!!

Movement? moving all the time, although he needs to do a back flip or something and get his head down!! At my appointment yesterday they confirmed what I knew was coming, they scheduled a c-section, they said its easier to cancel them than to schedule them last minute so unless he flips himself over he will be here on May 17th...unless he tries to come earlier than that but Im thinking no.  I was and still am pretty upset about this, not that c-sections are evil or anything but its just not what I ever imagined for myself, when I got pregnant I always pictured myself having a natural delivery, thats what I've always wanted and the fact that this pregnancy has been so uneventful and things have gone so smoothly the potential for a c section totally throws that whole image out the window.  I am no dummy and I know where his head is I can feel his big hard noggin and so I totally knew this was a possibility if he didn't flip over but the fact that its actually scheduled now makes it more of a reality and something I have to wrap my head around, and ultimately I just want him to be healthy, I see so much scary stuff at work that I know a healthy baby is such a blessing but I am still holding out hope that he may flip still and I am thinking of finding a chiropractor licensed in the Webster Method which is supposed to flip breech babies. Well see...

Symptoms? more tired, and my lower back and hips have started to get sore especially by the end of the day

Gender? a lil boy, Landon Matthew

What I miss? I could use a ice cold beer or glass of wine from time to time

What I'm looking forward to? getting our bedding in and finishing up the nursery

Weekly Wisdom: God is in control of this whole situation, not me, and I need to have faith that He knows whats best and its all in His hands.

Milestone: less than a month to go!!

Emotions: the bigger this baby gets and the closer I get to his arrival the more real this becomes, and I already love this baby sooooo much I cant even begin to imagine the love I will feel for him once he is really here

a picture from our growth ultrasound yesterday, thats his foot up by his face basically poking his eye ...he had both feet up in his face, it was pretty funny, and he had so much hair you could see it waving in the fluid, I think he may need a haircut at birth LOL!!

Making Progress

Just a little sneak peak of the nursery...our furniture is getting delivered today and then I can start putting things away and hanging stuff on the walls!!

This past week we painted stripes on the main wall

taping stripes, the most tedious process, Thanks to my momma for helping with this so late at night!!

Hubby, the painter

progress

DONE!! The stripes are the same color as the base wall but in high gloss instead of flat, they are very subtle, if you look at it in certain angles you cant tell there are stripes there but I love the touch it adds
Closet size dividers I made
the mess of the closet I have to go through and organize once our furniture gets here!!

Showered With Love

Last weekend I was so blessed to have a baby shower thrown for me by a few of my good friends and sorority sisters.  They did such a fabulous job and we had such a good time!!

Adorable wreath my friend made

delicious cupcakes and adorable cupcake stand
my friend also made the adorable cupcake toppers

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the wooden letters they were a gift from a sweet friend who wasn't able to make it to the shower, they are so perfect for his room, exactly what I was looking for, I cant wait to hang them!!

Love this banner my friend made, I am bringing it to the hospital to hang in my delivery room

We played a few games and ate tons of yummy food then it was time for presents!!

It was a great time and I feel so blessed to have such good friends, it was so nice to visit with everyone since I don't live in San Antonio anymore, I don't get to see many of them very often

I love these girls!!! Some of my girlfriends/sorority sisters who came

Hello Precious little one!!

We had a 3D/4D ultrasound done last weekend when I was 32w3d and it was by far the coolest thing ever and totally made this pregnancy seem so real, that there really is a human baby growing in there.  He cooperated well although at first he had his hand on his face and I was afraid maybe he wouldn't move it.  He didn't do much since I think he was sleeping.  I had worked the night before and actually woke up early to go to this appointment so I think Landon was sleeping in...He did yawn a few times at the end basically telling us he was done...it was so cute! Also he refused absolutely REFUSED despite much poking and prodding to show us his boy parts so hopefully come May those boy parts we saw in January are still there!! He definitely has my nose and Hubby's lips and he has a ton of hair you cant really see it on the 3D but when they had it on the regular ultrasound you could see it all, which really is no surprise since me and hubby have lots of hair!  This makes me so excited to finally meet this little guy and see what he looks like in person, I think he is so adorable!!

33w 4d

I'm back! All is good around here, sorry for the absence! We were in the process of moving and then we had no internet for about a week and then I went out of town hence the lack of posts and updates...but here we are back up and running

How far along? 33w4d

Baby's size? pineapple...at the 3d ultrasound a week ago he was measuring about 4 lbs

Weight Gain? as of my last appointment last week I am still at about 15lbs gained total

Maternity clothes? nope

Stretch marks? not a single one

Belly button in or out? I would say it permanently resides in the out position

Sleep? my sleep schedule is all kinds of crazy and I blame that wholly on the fact that I work night shift three nights a week

Foods I am loving? fresh fruit

Foods I am hating? nothing really

Best moment this week? my baby shower!! and we had a 3d ultrasound last weekend

Movement? This child can be quite the mover at times oh my gosh!! His kicks in my crotch can be quite painful at times.  He loves to push his big ol head out i guess he is stretching when he does that but its a really weird feeling and looks really funny when all of a sudden there is a big round bulge coming out of my belly (He hasnt flipped yet and still sits right side up)

Symptoms? definitely more tired these days, and at night my body just feels sore and tired and ready to just lay down.  I also get this weird numb feeling right below my sternum sometimes and I think from what I have read its something to do with stretching from the growing uterus and the nerves around your diaphragm or something...none the less its a really weird and annoying feeling

Gender? a lil boy, Landon Matthew

What I miss? I could use a ice cold beer or glass of wine from time to time

What I'm looking forward to? painting the nursery this week and hopefully getting his furniture in soon

Weekly Wisdom:

Milestone: one more week down

Emotions: so so excited and blessed but also very overwhelmed at all that needs done in the next 6 weeks...or less...Im just gonna go ahead and assume he wont come till my due date so I can tell my self I have 6 more weeks to prepare!

I'm Katie a 27 year old mommy and wife. Welcome to my blog where I will chronicle the happenings of my life as I find the balance between being both SAHM by day and CVICU nurse by night.

I love Jesus and strive to be more like Christ every day. Running, reading, and cooking are some of my favorite past-times. I love photography but I am no pro, but it helps I have such a cute subject to practice on!!
